From Clove to Bergamot: Dr. Scottie Does a Clinical Walkthrough of the Ten Oils for Your Home Kit
Most people who own a bottle of Thieves oil could not name what is in it. In this week's segment, Dr. Scottie opens the formula: five component oils, a National Library of Medicine paper on the blend's folk-medicine ingredients, and one handling detail almost nobody mentions. Clove and cinnamon bark are high in terpenes, and aging them for roughly four weeks raises their bactericidal and antifungal strength.
He then walks through the ten essential oils he recommends keeping on hand, from lavender for sleep and stress to bergamot for cortisol, along with the carrier-oil dilution ratios and the two oils that should never be used around young children or pets. This is mechanism-level education: what each oil does, why it does it, and where the safety lines sit.
