Before the 72% Slide: What the Team Saw in Toncoin in 2024
In the first half of November 2024, Toncoin looked unstoppable. Telegram's roughly 950 million users, a brand new Tether stablecoin announcement on the network, and a token up 96% in twelve months had the market leaning one way. Working blind to the target, our remote viewing team leaned the other: stagnant energy, an aging project falling behind, choppy and unimpressive charts, and a two-year path pointing down.
The lead charting call was one year down and two years very down. Our technical analyst needed four minutes on the price chart: completed spike, 50% retrace, double top, lower ahead.
Two years later, the record is scored. Toncoin trades near $1.34, roughly 72% below session week, and the network has already halted once. Every call is graded below, misses included, because a verification record that only shows hits is marketing.
This session was recorded on November 7, 2024.
Verification Notes
The setup
- Target: Toncoin (TON), tasked as a two-year performance outlook, with viewers charting expected activity across 6, 12, and 24 month windows.
- The team worked blind; the target was revealed on camera after the sessions were complete.
- Session-week price: roughly $4.60 to $4.85, up 96% over the prior twelve months. All-time high: about $8.25, set June 15, 2024 (Kraken).
- Context in the room: Tether's November 1, 2024 announcement of a dirham-pegged stablecoin involving the TON blockchain, Telegram founder Pavel Durov's August 2024 arrest in France, and a post-election altcoin rally that had Dogecoin near $0.22.
What Toncoin actually did
- November 2024: rallied about 45% within weeks of the session, closing the month near $6.82 and peaking around $7.20 in early December (CoinLore).
- 2025: the bleed-out. Down 69.85% on the year, opening near $5.50 and closing at $1.66, with an October flash-crash wick toward $0.56 and a 30.7% drop in November alone (Kraken).
- June 1, 2025: the network halted block production for roughly 40 minutes on a masterchain dispatch queue error. No funds were lost (Coinstelegram).
- 2026: a February low near $1.12, then a steep April-to-May rally to $2.90 after Durov teased a major speed upgrade, then a full unwind (TradingView). June 2026 fell about 16.5%, one of the year's worst months.
- October 20, 2026: TON trades near $1.34, roughly 72% below session week and roughly 81% below the December 2024 peak (Coinbase).
Viewer by viewer scorecard
Nyiam Vendryes
- Called a sudden, steep spike within three months. TON gained roughly 45% in the five weeks after his November 2 session. Confirmed.
- Flagged a standstill, overload, or technical difficulty, with possible loss of funds. The June 1, 2025 halt fits the technical call; no funds were lost, so that element stays open. Confirmed on the stall.
- Saw significant green about three months out on the six-month chart. December 2024 delivered it. Confirmed.
- Saw year two turning green with a steep peak late in the period, and floated a return to the $8 all-time high. Year two closed lower, though the April-to-May 2026 spike to $2.90 was a steep rally inside that window at a fraction of the magnitude. Miss on the year; partial credit on the steep-peak shape.
Daz Smith
- The lead call: one year down, two years very down, no peaks. TON was roughly two thirds lower at one year and roughly 72% lower at two. Confirmed.
- Flagged December 2025 for a steep drop. The heavy selling arrived in October and November 2025 instead, and December was comparatively quiet. Right direction, timing off by several weeks. Partial.
- Flagged June 2026 for another big drop. June 2026 fell about 16.5%. Confirmed.
- Read December 2024 as sideways. TON chopped lower from about $6.80 to $5.50 that month. Partial.
Edward Riordan
- Front-loaded a stablecoin connection before doing any research; the Tether dirham stablecoin announcement was dated November 1, 2024. Confirmed.
- Described a government and regulatory process with the project in legal limbo. The Durov case in France ran through the entire window. Confirmed.
- Read summer 2025 as numb and indifferent, with choppy, unimpressive charts throughout. Matches the record. Confirmed.
- Read mid-2026 as mechanical, a living network working like a machine. Exchange market notes report Durov announced a tenfold speed upgrade with sub-second finality in April 2026, and that Telegram replaced the TON Foundation as main network validator in May 2026 (Kraken, Coinbase). Plausible match, scored as color rather than a price call.
Derek
- Read a stable, established future with large holders accumulating and a slight upward trend through six and twelve months. TON was down about 35% by month six and about 67% by month twelve. Miss.
- We publish misses alongside hits. His institutional-accumulation imagery was an in-session impression and is not scored.
Dick Allgire
- Rejected the project on contact, ahead of any chart work, and recounted a personal experience: a meetup pitch that presented Toncoin with a multi-level referral structure. As he said on tape, the pitch may have been a third party misusing the TON name rather than the protocol itself, and we frame it strictly as his experience.
- His summary read, no interest and a project going nowhere, aligned with the next two years of price action. Directional confirmation rather than a chart call.
Martee Hibbs (technical analysis)
- Called the chart in about four minutes: a completed spike, a 50% retrace, a double top, and lower prices ahead, with any bounce capped near a dollar. His words: it looks like a bottle rocket. Confirmed on direction and structure.
- Honest timing note: TON first rallied roughly 45% in the three weeks after the session, overshooting his bounce cap, then rolled into the two-year decline he described.
- His framing in the debrief holds up as the house standard: we do not come on every segment and hype every crypto.
What this shows, and what it does not
- Shows: a majority bearish consensus formed blind at peak excitement was correct on direction, magnitude, and tone. The biggest short-term move, the November 2024 spike, was also called in advance. The one flagged technical risk, a network stall, occurred once.
- Does not show: perfection. Two viewers leaned constructive on the 6 to 24 month window and were wrong. One strong drop call landed weeks off its target month.
