Community Moderators Needed for Members Site

Future Forecasting Group is seeking a Community Moderator to support the FFG members site. The moderator helps keep discussion respectful, organized, and consistent with the group's standards for transparency and the separation of session data, analysis, and interpretation. This role supports members and the editorial team but does not set policy or make editorial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor community discussions and enforce posted guidelines
• Review flagged posts, comments, and member reports, and escalate unresolved issues to FFG leadership
• Welcome new members and direct them to relevant resources
• Keep discussions on topic and correctly categorized
• Identify spam, misinformation, and harassment, and remove content as guidelines allow
• Report recurring issues and community feedback to the editorial team

Qualifications

• Prior experience moderating an online community or forum
• Clear, even-handed communication and sound judgment under ambiguity
• Familiarity with remote viewing, forecasting, or related research communities (preferred)
• Reliability and discretion with member information
• Availability of [X hours per week / specific time zones]
