Storage, Search, and Proof: The Masterminds Team Breaks Down Three Undervalued Layers

Crypto winter has flattened a lot of charts into the same shape, but that doesn't mean the underlying projects are equal.

This week's Crypto Masterminds panel looked at three tokens sitting in very different lanes of the same problem: how decentralized systems store data, find data, and prove data is real without a middleman.

One is a long-established decentralized storage layer trading deep below its 2021 peak. One is a search-and-indexing protocol that's quietly become plumbing for Web3 applications. The third is a much younger project betting that zero-knowledge proof generation becomes required infrastructure as more of the crypto stack moves toward verification instead of trust.

The team walked through the fundamentals case for each, covering what problem it solves, who it competes with, and where the real risk sits, before turning to chart structure to talk about positioning zones, not price predictions. One name drew real enthusiasm from the technical side of the desk. Another got a more cautious response: interesting, but the volume isn't there yet. The panel didn't agree on all three, and that disagreement is part of the value.

Full positioning notes, including which names were discussed and where the team sees risk versus opportunity, are below for members.
