Jackson Hole's Other Summit: The SALT Symposium and the Coming Financial System
The third annual Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, hosted by SALT and Kraken alongside the University of Wyoming, ran August 17 through 20, 2026 in Jackson Hole. It shares the week and the Tetons with the Federal Reserve's own gathering, and that is the point: monetary policy on one side of the valley, market structure on the other.
Roughly five hundred invited investors, builders and policymakers attended. The sessions that mattered for allocators featured Andrew Cuomo on the ICE/OKX joint venture, CZ in his most candid public conversation to date, and senior operators from Nasdaq, Tradeweb and Digital Asset on the mechanics of always-on markets. Senators Tim Scott and Cynthia Lummis, OCC Comptroller Jonathan Gould, and White House digital asset council director Patrick Witt attended in person.
The signal was structural. The debate has moved from whether traditional finance and digital assets converge to who owns the rails once they do. That is a positioning question, and positioning is what this briefing covers.
Here's a Founders breakdown of the main highlights from the 2026 SALT Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, and what it means for your portfolios.
