The Crypto List Evolves: One Removal, One Hold, and a New Observation Bench

The FFG crypto list is a working research tool, not a hall of fame.

In the latest Crypto Masterminds session, the team made three calls. One long-held asset was removed because it no longer meets the research standard. One major decentralized lending name stayed. One young privacy-focused network was placed under watch instead of added.

The bigger story is the system behind those calls. The list is being formalized into three tiers: a core list of assets that meet the current research bar, an observation bench for promising newcomers flagged early as high-risk and high-reward, and an exit review for older names whose cases are weakening. A full catalog showing which assets are in each tier is in development and will be sent to members when it is ready.

The session also explained a difference most investors never see. The two largest crypto exchanges – Coinbase and Binance – treat the projects they back in opposite ways. One absorbs a project's best ideas and then moves on. The other keeps its projects inside its own walls. Each pattern creates a different kind of risk for the tokens involved.
